Wollondilly Dietitian:
We offer flexible service provision - face-to-face consultations, including home visits, as well as Telehealth options via phone or video call - ensuring accessible support tailored to individual needs.
Disability Services
- Advocacy for neurodivergent students – We promote inclusive, sensory-supportive food environments in schools, ensuring students feel respected in their food choices. We educate schools on the importance of sensory-based food preferences, encourage non-judgmental food policies, and support families in discussions about food inclusivity.
- Capacity-building nutrition services for people with a disability.
- Tailored training and education for support workers and SIL managers.
- Specialised support in neurodivergence and tube feeding management – While we have a particular interest in these areas, we welcome all NDIS participants.
Eating Disorders
- We accept GP Eating Disorder Plans.
- We have a particular interest in the intersection between neurodivergence, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Binge-Eating Disorder (BED).
Feeding Therapy
- Responsive Feeding Therapy (RFT) Principles: Avoidance of coercion, child-led feeding, individualised support, and trust-based interactions.
- RFT is particularly relevant for picky eaters, children with feeding difficulties, and individuals with neurodivergent traits, as it respects their unique sensory and emotional experiences with food.
- Core values of RFT: Autonomy, competence, internal motivation, individualised care, and relationship-based approaches.
- We trained with Jo Cormack PhD MBACP one of the lead authors of the RFT white paper (Responsive Feeding Therapy: Values and Practice)
Food Intolerance
- Expert guidance in identifying and managing sensitivities to Cow’s Milk Protein and/or Soy in infants, as well as FODMAPs (including lactose), natural food chemicals (amines— including histamine, salicylates, and glutamates), and food additives in children and adults.
- We have post-graduate training in the low FODMAP and RPAH Food chemical elimination diets, including the low histamine diet.
- Tailored elimination diets, symptom tracking, and reintroduction strategies to support long-term dietary balance and wellbeing.
Gastrointestinal Conditions
- Support for IBS, IBD (Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis), coeliac disease, diverticular disease, gastroparesis, and other digestive disorders.
- Post-surgical Medical Nutrition Therapy – We provide nutritional support for gastrectomy, bowel resections, bariatric surgery, and other gastrointestinal procedures, focusing on nutrient absorption and symptom management to promote healing and wellbeing.
- Evidence-based interventions, including low FODMAP and low residue diets, gut microbiome support, and symptom management strategies.
Healthy Eating
- Individualised nutrition counselling and education to promote balanced eating habits, prevent chronic disease, and support overall physical and mental wellbeing.
- Meeting nutrient requirements across all ages. Nutritional needs evolve throughout life, and ensuring adequate intake of essential nutrients is key to growth, development, and long-term health. We provide individualised assessments to help people of all ages—from children to older adults—meet their nutrient requirements. Whether it is ensuring children and women receive adequate iron and calcium, or older adults maintain muscle mass and bone health, we help clients make practical, sustainable dietary adjustments to meet their evolving nutritional needs.
- Anti-inflammatory eating & the Mediterranean diet – Anti-inflammatory nutrition can support overall health by reducing chronic inflammation, which is linked to various conditions. The Mediterranean diet is one of the most well-researched anti-inflammatory approaches, and we provide practical guidance on its principles.
- Making healthy eating accessible – Eating to reduce inflammation doesn't have to be expensive, complicated, or require organic foods. Small, practical adjustments can make any diet more anti-inflammatory. We focus on sustainable, achievable changes tailored to individual preferences and budgets.
